Raspberry Superfood Smoothie

A daily smoothie during pregnancy can be a wonderful way to satiate increased hunger, cravings and help balance blood sugar levels. Smoothies can also be particularly beneficial for new mamas with limited time and energy to prepare meals, whilst giving them a nutrient-dense and convenient option to support a balanced diet and healthy recovery. Balanced with key nutrients, healthy fats, protein, carbohydrates, and packed with flavour, this recipe ticks all the boxes.

 

Raspberry Superfood Smoothie

Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 0 | Total Time: 10 mins

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup water or pure coconut water

  • 50ml milk kefir or Greek yoghurt

  • 30g protein powder (I use Whey Isolate as it is gentle on the gut and easily digested)

  • 1/2 frozen banana

  • 50g frozen organic raspberries

  • 1-2 organic brazil nuts

  • 1 tsp bee pollen

  • 1/2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon

  • 1-2 raw pastured egg yolks (optional for a choline boost)

METHOD

  1. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blitz until smooth.

  2. Pour and serve.
